The working principle of a cylinder can be divided into several main stages:
Inhalation: The piston moves downward, the cylinder volume increases, creating negative pressure, the intake valve opens, and external air enters the cylinder.
Compression: The piston moves upward, the volume inside the cylinder decreases, the gas is compressed, the intake and exhaust valves close, forming a sealed space, and the gas pressure and temperature increase.
Combustion: In some cylinders, compressed gas ignites and generates power.
Exhaust: The piston moves downwards again, the exhaust valve opens, and the exhaust gas is discharged from the cylinder.

Cylinders are widely used in automation and mechanical equipment, converting compressed air into mechanical energy.
